Part II: Craft Prep

Items out of existing indoor craft kits

  1. pipe cleaners
  2. glue
  3. googly eyes
  4. pom poms
  5. felt
  6. beads or buttons

Part IV: Assemble your Craft

  1. Acorn Owls:
    • Attach googly eyes to the flat side of an acorn.
    • Glue a small pom-pom or felt triangle under the eyes for the beak.
    • Use small twigs or branches as wings or feet, attaching them with glue.
    • Create feathers or additional details with leaves, felt, or fabric scraps.
  2. Acorn Squirrels:
    • Glue googly eyes to the flat side of an acorn.
    • Attach a small pom-pom to the front for the nose.
    • Use small twigs or branches for arms and legs, gluing them in place.
    • Create a bushy tail using leaves, felt or fabric, and attach it to the back of the acorn.
  3. Acorn Bugs:
    • Paint the acorn in bright colors or patterns.
    • Glue googly eyes to the top.
    • Use pipe cleaner to create antennae, attaching them to the top of the acorn.
    • Add small beads or buttons for spots or decorations.
  4. Acorn People:
    • Paint the acorns and attach googly eyes.
    • Use small twigs for arms and legs.
    • Create tiny fabric or felt clothing for your acorn people.
